For most Mira Costa students, summer consists of relaxing on vacation; junior Cami Taub however, instead spent her summer helping the less fortunate.

Taub traveled to Cambodia to work with The Children’s Project, through the Rustic Pathways program. During the 18 day service trip Taub spent her time exploring Cambodia’s capital and teaching children how to read and speak English.

“They were so excited to learn,” Taub said. “If you asked them if they wanted to play or learn they would say learn.”
