Urban Plates brings healthy food choices to Manhattan Village Mall

With the rise of healthy food trends the modernization of Manhattan Beach’s Village Mall, Urban Plates is the perfect fit for the South Bay with its charm- ing decor and delicious menu items.

Urban Plates’s convenient location at- tracts people from all over the South Bay who are looking for a fulfilling, healthy meal. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, creating a cozy atmosphere where people can enjoy their fresh meal or work on their computer with the complimentary wifi.

Urban Plates had its grand opening on Nov. 25 and is located near Ralph’s and Olive Gar- den in the Village Mall. This is the 18th location for the Urban Plates chain, which serves made-from-scratch meals using delicious and all-natural sourced ingredients.

When customers first walk into the restau- rant, they are greeted by welcoming employees who offer them a menu that features fresh sal- ads, sandwiches, braises, seafood, plant-based bowls and soups. Overall, customers are not going to find greasy, processed food at this healthy food chain. The salads are a particularly tasty menu item as they are a healthy yet appetizing choice for customers to choose. The inside of Urban Plates features multiple spacious seating areas and comfortable couch areas along with high top seating as well. In addition, the outdoor area is a welcoming place to enjoy what the restaurant has to offer.

The menu also features “plates,” which is served with one or two sides and grilled rustic seasoned bread. These plates add variety to the menu, giving visitors many options on what to order.

The comfortable seating allows customers to have an enjoyable experience even while they are wait- ing for their food. The service is extremely pleasant, and appetizing food is brought out in little to no time.

A favorite item on the menu was a beautiful Asian chicken salad, which was a great way to load up on healthy, whole vegetables and nutri- tious chicken. It had a perfect dress- ing that complimented all the tasty vegetables well.

The restaurant offers a family- friendly but sophisticated vibe upon entering. The menu also features kids items that come with organic milk or apple juice. The kid entrees include macaroni and cheese, turkey meatloaf, chicken plate, steak plate, salmon plate and a shrimp plate.

In addition to savory fresh food, Urban Plates serves a variety of fresh beverages, including craft beers on tap, local and regional wines, natural soda, organic lemonades, hot teas, and refreshing kombucha drink served on tap. Urban Plates serves strictly organic foods including apples, baby kale, brown rice, russet potatoes, chickpeas, carrots and much more, creating the perfect place to meet with friends for a healthy meal. With its variety of foods, Urban Plates has a meal for everyone.
