Mira Costa’s Ugliest Sweater Contest was held today at lunch the Mustang Mall. The ugly sweater scene began to take rise in the early nineties, and the tradition has only picked up momentum since.
The contest gives students an outlet to show their holiday spirit to other fellow students. This is one of the most popular seasonal festivities put on by Associated Student Body, which encourages students to join in on the holiday fun. The winner of the Ugliest Sweater Contest will be announced this afternoon.
“I think that the ugliest sweater Contest held by Mira Costa High School is a great opportunity for students to show their festive side,” senior Alex Rosas said. “I can’t wait to see who wins the contest.”
