“Emily in Paris” showcases charming journey of culture and adventure

Netflix’s latest release, “Emily in Paris,” provides viewers with cultural charm in a modernly chic interpretation and writing style.

The show delivers with strong character development, providing the audience with an overall positive feeling. While also touching on the aspects of feminism, the series promotes powerful movements, furthering its success. 

Released by Netflix on Oct. 2, “Emily in Paris” was created by showrunner Darren Starr. The series stars Lily Collins as Emily Cooper and Lucas Bravo as Gabriel.

The series follows Emily Cooper, a Chicago marketing agent who gets a job opportunity to work in Paris for a year. While overcoming many obstacles and immersing herself into the customs of Paris, Emily Finds herself in the City of Love and sets loose on an unforgettable adventure full of romance, art and culture.

The show’s main success is its ability to create exceptional characters. Each character in the series adds a unique spin to the plot. With a mixture of all of their different personalities and styles, it sets the tone of the show with a warm-hearted feel. Collins takes on her character in full force, and her acting builds a connection with viewers.

The setting and scenery of “Emily in Paris” made the series all the more charming. With the show being filmed in the streets of Paris, it felt less staged and more natural. The scenes featuring many of the artistic monuments of Paris bring the audience along for the journey, making the series an even more exciting experience.

The complexity of the show’s plot draws is the primary force that captures the viewers’ attention. The series not only includes romance, but it also shows drama in the workplace, and has many moments of comedy. The series also pleases the audience with engaging and compelling portions of dialogue. The dialogue switches off between English and French, bringing in the audience’s attention with having to read subtitles part of the time. This adds a unique aspect to the series and intensifies the culturalist reality within it.

The journey that “Emily in Paris” takes its audience on leaves viewers wanting more of the glamorous, exciting Paris lifestyle. Through the cohesivity of the characters, plot, and scenery, the series provides fluid and delightful experience for viewers.
