Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD) received approval on Sep.1 from the United States Department of Agriculture and the California Department of Education to provide free meals for students during the first semester of the 2020-21 school year.

Parents and students can pre-order and pick up free breakfast and lunch meals from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every school day at the designated pick-up locations on campus.

“This is not the same as the free and reduced-price meal program,” MBUSD Superintendent Dr. Mike Matthews said. “Rather, this is set up to assist parents nationwide during this troublesome time.”
