Black History Month

Black History Month has been a powerful time for African Americans across the country. Many take the month of February to celebrate themselves and their accomplishments, as well as their roots and connections to their family. Others take the time to share their voice and challenge the injustices throughout the society to ensure equality and peace for every American. Shay Mishra and Dolce Prieto explore how many take the time to research the rich history of African Americans and their roles in US history we often don’t hear about in textbooks and school curriculums.
