MBEF reaches midpoint to Annual fundraising goal

The Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF) holds an annual fundraiser as the main source of funding each year to raise money for the schools called the Annual Appeal.

The donations received this year are much lower than MBEF’s goal. MBEF has raised $3.1 million towards the goal of $5 million. In it’s 40 year history, MBEF has never faced such a shortage of funds, and without this funding, physical education programs, science lab assistants and arts programs could be cut, according to MBEF President Scott Rosenthal

“It is too early to say which programs will be cut next year, or how class sizes may increase, but it’s safe to say that all students will be impacted in some way,” Rosenthal said.
