The Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD) has released its schedule for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.

All schools within MBUSD will begin on August 25th, while teachers will start preparations the day before. There also will be legal holidays like Memorial Day, which is marked on March 30. Each month in the school year has at least one legal holiday, with the exceptions of October, April, and June.

“Since all students started this year with distance learning, we never really got to transition thoroughly once the district decided to open up all schools,” freshman Ella Naidoo said. “Although, I believe that it’ll be a solid transition next year since all students are required to return to in-person learning.”

Next school year, Winter Break will take place from December 20-31, 2021, and Spring Break will take place from April 4-8, 2022. MBUSD has decided that school will end on June 16 for students, and on June 17 for teachers.

“I’m looking forward to next year, and hope that everything starts to become normal again,” freshman Lily Boettcher said.
