Chris Flood is the new coach for Costa’s frosh/soph girls volleyball team. Flood has been coaching since 2012, for teams such as the USA National Beach Team and Canadian National Beach Team.

In the past, Flood has coached local International Volleyball Federation and Association of Volleyball Professionals champions Emily Stockman, Kelley Larsen, and Sarah Pavin. Now, according to Flood, he is excited to have a winning season with Costa’s frosh/soph beach volleyball team.

“My objective is to coach at the highest level and compete at the highest level,” Flood said.  “My goal is to make each individual athlete the best they can possibly be without causing injury or anything long term that could affect their life after the sport.”

Flood’s frosh/soph team has had an undefeated bay league season so far. They currently have a 6-0 record and will play their next game on September 22 against Palos Verdes high school.

“I love to see the improvement every single day from all my players,” Flood said. “I hope this year to see the girls improve daily and win a lot of games.”
