South Bay Adult School opens vaccination clinic for students

A vaccination clinic for all students aged 12 and up was opened at the South Bay Adult School on Thursday, September 2 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM, and will reopen at the same time on September 23 for students to receive their second dose. This clinic has opened in time for back to school and is mainly geared towards students.

Vaccinations help boost immunity to COVID-19, and as such will allow students to participate in traditional high school events such as clubs, dances, and school sports. Students must go to “myturnin.ca.gov” to register for their vaccination. They will need proof of age such as an ID Card, a passport, or a birth certificate to register.

“We are seeing students test positive, so if [student athletes] want a season and if [students] want to be able to do activities such as homecoming and prom, you have to be vaccinated,” said staff member of Beach Cities and vaccine clinic volunteer Kerianne Lawson.
