Starting out strong and remaining focused is always a challenge for all sports teams. However, this obstacle was not the case in the Mira Costa Girls Lacrosse team’s game versus Culver City on March 14. The Mustangs defeated Culver City 15-1.

Sophomore Taylor Pool scored three goals and played a key role in assisting her teammates too. Her offensive pressure intimidated the other team but rallied her fellow Mustangs. Within the first five minutes of the game, the Mustangs had already scored five times.

On the opposite end of the field, senior defensive player Jackie Dotomoto and senior goalie Megan Difley played well. Although Difley only played for the first half, she made her presence known in front of the goal, shutting out the other team.

On March 16, the Mustangs host their rival Redondo Union Seahawks. As the second Bay League game, the Mustangs hope to emerge victorious.
