Boys volleyball stays strong against Loyola

On the first day of spring break, April 1, the Mira Costa boys volleyball team maintained their perfect record by defeating Loyola. At the neutral location of Loyola Marymount the Mustangs knocked off the Cubs in the fifth game, with final scores of 23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, and 15-12.

The Mustangs had trouble early on and towards the middle of the game but recovered towards the end and brought it home for the win. Senior DJ White racked up 20 kills and junior Chris Orenic managed 13 kills.

The Mustangs, with a spotless record of 12-0 for the season and 1-0 in the Bay League, play Iolani at Punahou on April 8 during the break.
