On Saturday, December 3rd the Mira Costa girls water polo team placed third out of 26 teams in the Bob Benson Memorial Tournament, winning a total of four games out of the five. The girls hold a record of 4-1.
The girls defeated Dana Hills High School with a score of 8-6 to achieve the third place spot.
Throughout the tournament the Mustangs also defeated Costa Mesa, Ramona, and Cerritos, but had a close loss to Temescal Canyon who ended up wining the tournament.
The girls next game will take place at Mira Costa on Tuesday the 6th against Los Alamitos High School.
