The Mustangs playoff run ended last Friday night, when, despite a hard fought battle, Costa was unable to topple the Pacifica Tritons, losing 35-10. Costa went up against the Pacifica High School Tritons on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at Pacifica High School. Costa went up against Redondo at Waller stadium on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. The game was critical for both teams, as a win would determine future CIF playoff matchups. The Mustangs’ powerhouse offensive once again proved key for the Mustangs, as junior quarterback Sam Whitney and junior wide receiver Thomas Southey produced top performances. Despite a valiant effort, Mira Costa was unable to dethrone the Palos Verdes Sea Kings, losing 34-9. Costa went up against Palos Verdes at Palos Verdes on Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. in the first Bay League Match of the season.
