The Mira Costa girls Junior Varsity Volleyball team defeated Peninsula, winning its match 2-0. The first set ended with a score of 25-19, and the girls came back to the second set winning 25-8.
Sophomore Erin Sagisi had a total of 2 kills and 2 blocks along with her teammate, sophomore Kyra Collins, who had 3 kills and a perfect pass.
“Strong serving from all of the team led us to an easy victory” said coach Haley Lawson.
The girls Junior Varsity Volleyball team has its next game on Thursday at Redondo. Their next home game will be on October 17 against Palos Verdes at 4:15 p.m.
