The Mira Costa girls junior varsity tennis team played against Palos Verdes High School on October 10 at home and won, 9-0, to remain undefeated in Bay League with a 5-0 record.
Costa sophomore Ysabella Cuevas won her set, 8-3, junior Maddie Coate won her set, 8-5, and freshman Amanda Han won her set, 6-1.
For the doubles teams, Costa junior Abby Zimmerman and sophomore Dana Sternthal won their sets, 6-0 and 8-4. Sophomores Rachel Waxman and Michelle Tran won their set, 8-4, juniors Christine Nwoki and Jill Sternthal won their sets, 8-4 and 7-5, and Costa freshmen Gianna Genova and Jane Krol won their set, 6-1.
The girls next game will be October 16 at 3 p.m. against West High School at home.
