The Mira Costa boys and girls cross country teams participated in the final Bay League meet of the 2012 season on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Polliwog Park.
The girls team placed first, winning the Bay League title. However, the boys team placed fifth out of five teams.
“Bay League Finals was extremely competitive this year and it was obvious from the start that every team came prepared to do whatever it took to win,” sophomore Natasha Bruinstein said. “In the end it came down to who wants it more and we definitely wanted it the most.”
The girls team’s next meet will be the CIF Prelims on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Mt. SAC. The boys team will not be continuing on to CIF.
