The Mira Costa varsity boys basketball team lost to Cypress High School 67-56 on Wednesday Dec. 5 away.
Junior Justin Strings scored 15 points and senior Oliver Mausner scored 14 points in the Mustangs defeat.
“I think we got into foul trouble from the beginning,” sophomore Gavin Reegan said. “Cypress made almost every free throw they shot which was hard to come back from.”
The Mustangs play Torrance High School on Friday Dec.7 in an away game.
