Track Meet

Trinity Goss, Rapheal Lawson-Gale, and Khalil McClain were some of the top runners on Saturday Mar.2 at Mira Costa against Santa Monica High School and Torrance High School.
Rapheal Lawson-Gale got first place in both the 100 and 200 sprints. Trinity Goss got first place in the 400 sprint. Also Khalil McClain got first place in the 300 hurdle.
“Our season is just getting started and there is more work that has to be done,” says Head Coach Moe.
Mira Costa ran against Beverly Hills and North Torrance High School on Thurs. at North Torrance, but scores were not available at time of publication.
Rapheal Lawson- Gale did pretty well in both of his events that he ran. Both of these times that he gotten were his fastest time that he has gotten so far this year. This made him gain more confidence in himself.
“I feel really good about getting first place in both of my events because I was nervous the whole time because I didn’t even think I would win or place”, Lawson-Gale.
Trinity Goss also got first place in the girls’ varsity 400 sprint making this another good track meet Goss.
“ I wasn’t feeling really good at the beginning of the meet but it felt good to still get first place”, says Goss.
Also Khalil McClain gotten first place in the boy’s varsity 300 hurdles making this another successful run for him.
“I don’t think I did the best I could have done but I am still happy about winning the event”, says McClain.
Other people that stood out was Omar Morris getting first place in frosh hurdles and also Chelsea Tatum which got first place in discus.
