The Mira Costa boys volleyball team played their third Bay League game of the season against West Torrance High School on Thursday, March 28. The boys won the match in three games.

In the first match, Mira Costa came out strong and quickly won the game with a score of 25-13. The second game played out much like the first with the Costa boys taking the win with a score of 25-20. In the third game, coaches subbed out most of the first string players. The boys were still able to get that third win to win the entire match with a score of 25-20. Senior captain Riley Mallon had six kills and sophomore Blake Markland had eight kills.

“It was a great bonding match for us,” Mallon said. “It’s always good for team morale when we can get everyone in there to play.”

The boys next game will take place on Friday, April 5 against Kamehameha High School.
