The Mira Costa boys varsity tennis team defeated San Marcos High School 17-1 at home in the first round of CIF on Wednesday, May 8.
In singles, sophomore Evan Han and freshman Alex Gaal both won all three of their matches. In doubles, senior Michael Carella and freshman Alec Zirklebach won two matches.
“We are really happy to start CIF on a high note,” sophomore Jason Wu said.
The Mustangs next round of CIF will take place Friday, May 10
