Redondo started off strong with an early lead in the bottom of the first inning when junior Brigid Antonelli scored the first run. Redondo scored two more runs and ended the inning with senior Taleigh Williams stealing home plate to make the score 4-0.

“We definitely had a rocky start, and we were trying to find our place,” junior pitcher Dillon Boada said.

It was not until the fifth inning that senior third baseman Shannon Savino hit a double, but Costa could not take advantage of the opportunity.

“Redondo is a great team, and we needed to capitalize,” Savino said.

During the sixth inning, Redondo secured its last run when senior Jazmine Kary scored on a bunt.

The Mustangs played their final game against Palos Verdes yesterday; however, results were unavailable due to the time of publication.

“We weren’t prepared to play against Redondo,” coach Dick Amberik said.
