On September 19, Apple changed everything for the fourth time. The iOS 8, Apple’s mobile operating system was released with numerous issues and was not worth the update, but because of extensive bug fixes, the September 24 update, iOS 8.02 is a huge improvement.

The iOS 8 was released with completely new attributes, including photography tools, a smart keyboard, and a way to respond to notifications rapidly–all additions that the iOS 7 lacked. However, according to an Apple representative, the software crashed various apps and erased iPad drives. Soon after, the company examined the complaints and released the iOS 8.02, which solves a majority of the previous software’s problems.

This causes an inconvenience to many users, but it was properly addressed by Apple. Both the iOS 8 and iOS 8.02 have helpful health and fitness apps. Sending photos, videos, and recordings and a shortcut to the most recently contacted people are also apart of the new software’s pizzazz. This creates a fun Snapchat-like iMessage experience and blends two popular social medias into one.

The revolutionary iPhone camera tools also improved. Photo editing is taken to a new level with more options on adjusting light, color, filters, and cropping. The time-lapse video option, which was previously only on iPhone 5S’s, has been added to all phones with the iOS 8.02 as well. All of the photo-editing and special effects additions eliminate time and money spent on photography and film apps and they are more organized and productive.

One of the most efficient improvements that Apple made from the iOS 7 to the iOS 8.02 was the interactive notifications. This allows for users to focus on a certain task, respond to notifications on the same screen as that task, and quickly return to continuing on the initial screen. This is a more efficient way of using an iPhone and helps to improve the iPhone experience.

Despite the iOS 8.02’s new additions, there are still some flaws in the system that need to be fixed in another new update. Because Apple is encountering so many issues, Apple should be forging ahead with creating updates and quickly releasing them as they improve. This will be able to prevent further iPhone flaws and user dissatisfaction.

While many problems were found within the iOS 8 software, Apple rapidly investigated all reports and complaints and were able to make a competent new software whose details override any possible minute glitches. The new iOS 8.02 update is worth it and if some aren’t happy with it, a new update is undoubtedly on its way.
