The Mira costa baseball team had a rematch against Palos Verdes Peninsula at home on Friday, April 24. After their loss against Peninsula on Wednesday, the Mustangs were able to redeem themselves and win the game with a final score of 6-3.

The Mustangs were tied up with Peninsula up until the third inning, where the Mustangs scored three runs. Scoring for the Mustangs were junior Zack Chan, who tallied two runs, as well as seniors Robert White and Ty Conrad, and juniors Will Proctor, and Dylan Tyrer who all recorded one run.

“We played much better than we did on Wednesday,” Trevor Franklin, who pitched 63 strikes out of 94 pitches said. “We were much more focused and overall were just able to play more as a team.”

The Mustangs now hold an overall record of 15-7 and will move on to play Inglewood High School (0-7) next Wednesday, in Inglewood. The Mustangs will be practicing all next week in preparation for their game.

“In practice we always keep things consistent,” Franklin said. “We always work on our defense and we can always count on our coaches to get us ready for our next game.”
