Mira Costa’s girls golf team won 187-220 in its second Bay League game of the season against Peninsula High School yesterday at the Mira Chester Washington golf course.

The match’s top performers were juniors Andrea Lee, Lexi Nielsen and senior Marni Murez. They led the team to its eighth victory by scoring under forty strokes each.

“Today’s game went well,” Nielsen said. “I’m glad we seized the win, and we hope to stay undefeated.”

Costa will next play in the Walnut Golf Tournament on Monday at Walnut High School. The Mustangs currently have an undefeated overall record of 9-0, and are 2-0 in bay league.

“We have the talent to stay undefeated this season,” girls golf coach Thomas Cox said. “The girls are also very dedicated this year and we hope to win all of our future games.
