Mira Costa’s girls golf team defeated Redondo Union 198-239 in its fourth Bay League game of the season this Tuesday at Chester Washington golf course.

Costa’s top performer was senior Andrea Lee who helped lead the team to a victory over Redondo by shooting a birdie in the team’s last home game of the season.

“We played pretty well today, but I wasn’t too focused on the score and just played my own game,” Lee said. “It was all of the seniors’ final home match, so we just went out and had a lot of fun today.”

The Mustangs have an overall record of 12-0 and are 5-0 in Bay League. They will next play at the Bay League and Ocean Finals tournament at Lakewood Country Club golf course on Wednesday. According to junior Ashley Kim, the team will have a lot of momentum going into its next match.

“We have a lot of confidence going into the next match, since our top five players qualified for the next level of CIF today,” Kim said.
