Senior Nick Harry competes in Golf Individual League Finals in CIF

Mira Costa senior Nick Harry competed in the Golf individual League Finals in a California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) match and he placed 12th overall qualifying him for the state championship.

 

Harry shot a birdie on his first hole and continued strong through the next two holes with par shots. He finished the day with another birdie shot and three more par shots earning him a 74 for the day. According to Harry, he was proud of his performance.

 

“I was really excited to start of the match strong with a birdie shot and it gave me the energy throughout the entire match,” Harry said. “There were probably 100 people watching the game so there was a lot of pressure to perform well.”

 

Costa, currently 12-3 overall and undefeated in Bay League at 8-0, and will next play in the Team Divisionals in CIF on Monday. According to Harry he expects the team to perform well.

 

“I am very proud of our team and I believe we can go far places in CIF,” Harry said. “We continue to get better and I am excited to see where the end of the season takes us.”
