The Mira Costa Drama Department held its sixth annual Holiday Benefit show yesterday in the drama room in order to raise money for the Richstone Family Center’s Adopt-A-Family program.

Adopt-A-Family is a charity which raises money to buy presents for underprivileged families. The Drama Department requested that audience members give $5 at the door in order to raise money for its adopted family. Students then performed holiday related monologues, skits and songs.

“[The benefit] was really well promoted in drama,” freshman and benefit participant Mary Clare Powell said. “It was something that the upperclassmen did, and was fun to participate in. And, it’s for a good cause, which makes it even more fun.”
