“The Shack” impresses audiences with its powerful plot and talented actors

“The Shack” is a heart wrenching movie that flawlessly explores loss, forgiveness, and faith.

 

“The Shack,” released on March 3, is an excellent movie void of  dull moments. The film features an emotional, powerful plot line with extremely talented lead actors that combine to create a compelling film.

The film follows Mack Phillip’s (Sam Worthington) youngest daughter, Missy (Amelie Eve), who is abducted and assumed dead when her dress is found in a shack covered in blood. In the aftermath known as “the great sadness,” Mack receives a letter from God telling him to return to the shack.

 

“The Shack” is a Christian drama directed by Stuart Hazeldine that is based on the popular book “The Shack” written by William P. Young. This film was produced by Netter Productions and Summit Entertainment and the screenplay was written by John Fusco.

 

“The Shack” was masterfully written to deliver a plotline that leads viewers smoothly through an emotional and drama packed story. The film is perfectly written to make the main characters’ agonizing situation seem realistic with dialogue that compels the viewer care about Mack and his struggle to forgive.

“The Shack’s” cinematography is magnificent, with colorful scenery, impeccable set design  and interesting camera angles. Certain scenes such as the scene where Mack leaves the winter forest and enters the tropical forest of heaven make the film appealing to the eye.

 

The film has a huge impact on audiences conveying a strong message of forgiveness and Christianity that’s spread throughout the story. “The Shack” teaches lessons through an artfully produced script and gives long-term fans of the book a high quality visualization of the story.

 

The special effects in “The Shack” are carried out perfectly to support the amazing acting and skillfully organized storyline. Scenes like when Mack and Jesus run on water are carried out realistically. All aspects of the film are executed exceptionally to deliver a superb film.

 

“The Shack” features excellent acting by lead actors  Worthington and Octavia Spencer who plays god. The actors deliver the lines perfectly to make the viewers feel as torn as Mack is in the film. With the exception of a few scenes featuring Mack’s two kids, who did not perform well, the acting in the film is superb.

“The Shack” stands out as a high quality and meaningful film in the Christian drama genre with an extremely well written storyline. This film takes the viewer on an emotional and thought provoking journey through loss along with forgiveness and a restoration of faith.
