The Mira Costa wrestling team hit the road on Jan. 20 to battle in the Peninsula Dual. The Mustangs lost to the Peninsula Panthers with a score of 49-19.
Seniors Joey Beck, Justin Tam, Tajee Mobley, and freshman Jake Shapiro all won their matches and scored points for the Mustangs. Senior Weston Carico fought hard but lost his match by one point.
The Mustang’s will attempt to recover in the Sam DeJohn Invite at San Fernando High School on Jan. 22, starting at 9:30am.
