Costa’s Black Scholars Union held their annual Black History Month Assembly on Wednesday in the auditorium.
The theme of this year’s assembly was “Every Voice Matters” to commemorate the importance of unity and equality. Speakers included BSU Presidents seniors Taylor Martinez and Jayla Johnson and Vice Principal Dr. Deborah Hofreiter.
“I feel that the assembly promotes diversity and inclusion through raising awareness about historical events,” BSU member and senior Kennedy McIntosh said.
