Stunna 4 Vegas flexes on the rap industry in a luxurious style with the release of his sophomore album “RICH YOUNGIN.”
“RICH YOUNGIN” features the highlights of Stunna 4 Vegas’s artistry with numerous potential hit-tracks, but fails at presenting all of his musical diversity. Regardless of what the album lacks, “RICH YOUNGIN” excels in several aspects ranging from the vocal delivery to the comedic but clever lyrics.
Khalick Antonio Caldwell, professionally known as Stunna 4 Vegas, is an upcoming rap artist from North Carolina. Stunna 4 Vegas first rose to stardom after collaborating with North Carolina native DaBaby. Stunna 4 Vegas has since gone on to sign with Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment and released a debut album titled “BIG 4x.”
“RICH YOUNGIN” is Stunna 4 Vegas’s sophomore studio-recorded album released by Interscope Records. The album contains 12 tracks with collaborations from notable artists such as DaBaby, Lil Baby, Blac Youngsta, and Offset.
Stunna 4 Vegas’s vocal delivery in “RICH YOUNGIN” is quickly noticeable with its aggressive tone and loud pitches that somewhat resemble him yelling. Stunna 4 Vegas perfects this distinct sound and displays his unique approach to rap throughout the entirety of the album, but does it best in the track titled “RUSSIAN.”
Stunna 4 Vegas distinguishes himself from other rap artists with his hilarious, violent, and clever lyrics that don’t fail to present themselves in “RICH YOUNGIN.” Stunna 4 Vegas incorporates such in the form of similes, metaphors, and allusions which demonstrates the amount of thought that goes into producing such iconic bars.
Stunna 4 Vegas continues to differentiate himself as an artist with his simple but odd styled beats. Although most of the beats on the album possess a similar tempo each song on the album integrates a wide variety of sounds such as heavy bass, soft guitars, sirens, digital notes, flutes, and trumpets.
The collaborations featured on “RICH YOUNGIN” do their job, complimenting the excellence of the album. Offset’s melodic hook on “UP THE SMOKE” completes the song, making it a potential popular billboard track.
The only aspect in which “RICH YOUNGIN” falls below standards is in the album’s diversity. Stunna 4 Vegas impresses on most tracks but fails to widen his sound. Although the album ultimately pleases, several of the songs sound too similar to each other.
Stunna 4 Vegas made an eye catching entrance into the music industry with “BIG 4x” and furthers that appearance with the release of “RICH YOUNGIN.” The album proves to be an outcast of the stereotypical rap sound but fits right in an era of progressing hip hop music.
“RICH YOUNGIN” was released on Jan. 17 and is available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon. The album can also be streamed on Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and YouTube Music.
