The Mira Costa girls soccer team played in a blowout game against Centennial High School winning at home, 12-0.

Centennial only had seven players so Costa played with only seven players as well. The Mustangs had an extreme advantage with many goal opportunities. Costa dominated even letting both of their goalies, Ashley Naylor and Mckenna Honda score a goal.

“We had possession the entire time. We moved the ball well and overall just dominated the entire game,” Naylor said. “With 12 goals from players who don’t normally score we ended the game, 12-0.”

The Mustangs are scheduled to play an away game against rivals, Redondo Union High School tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 4. Mira Costa girls currently have a two game winning streak.

“Our game tomorrow will be for second place so it will be a big and competitive game,” Naylor said. “We are going to focus on playing possession and continue passing the ball well as we have been doing the last couple of games.”
