Mira Costa girls soccer lost their second game against Palos Verdes High School, 1-2 in overtime on Tuesday, January 28. The Mustangs top performer was Senior, Skye Davis scoring the only goal of the game.

The Mustangs played mediocre in the first half, managing to get a goal with the help of Davis. At the end of the first half Costa was up, 1-0. In the second half, the Mustangs started going down hill letting Palos Verdes score a goal. The game went into overtime and Palos Verdes scored a goal in the first five minutes finishing off the game, 2-1.

“We played really hard with a strong drive to win,” Davis said. “We were obviously the better team on the field both times we played PV, but in the end we just got unlucky.”

The Mustangs are scheduled to play an away game at Leuzinger High School on Thursday, January 30.

“I think that we will be very fired up from our loss against PV and come out very strong,” Ray said. “I think that we will continue to play as a team and work as hard as we can for eachother.”
