Kesha’s “High Road” album impresses listeners with uplifting lyrics

Kesha’s “High Road” astounds listeners with sincere and original lyrics that are true to her as an artist.

“High Road” is an impressive album that provides a sense of relatability and an upbeat, free-spirited tone. Each song spreads a positive and uplifting message to listeners.

Kesha is an American singer-songwriter who is known for her unique style of dance-pop and electropop music. Kesha had her first big break after making a small appearance in Flo Rida’s hit “Right Round”. In 2010, she released her first single “Tik Tok” and quickly became the best-performing song of 2010 in the United States.

“High Road” is Kesha’s fourth studio album with RCA Records. The album was released on Jan. 31 and is fifty-two minutes long with sixteen songs.

The lyrics of each song are honest and relatable for a wide variety of people. Each part of the album focuses on a different aspect of the party-going lifestyle, as well as doing whatever it takes to live your best life. The album is carefree, and acts as inspiration for many listeners to go about living a less worrisome lifestyle.  

Each song in the album demonstrates that life should be lived to the fullest, nothing can stand in the way. This powerful message is conveyed strongly throughout the album and adds strength and power to every song.

Kesha’s unique voice allows her to transform it to sing many different genres of music. She can sing slower notes gracefully, and then instantly transition into rapping at a fast beat. Kesha is a well-rounded artist, and her authenticity shows throughout the album, adding to its individuality.

All of the songs show Kesha’s journey growing as a person, but always staying true to herself. Her stylistic choices in the songs show a more playful side of her, while also showing a vulnerable and mature side. These aspects of her music make the album more complex and show her connection with her audience, which makes the album even more impressive.

There are three songs in the album that have featured artists. “Raising Hell” features Big Freedia, and “Resentment” features Sturgill Simpson, Brian Wilson, and Wrabel who is also featured in “BFF”. Every artists’ unique tone and rhythm diversifying each song, setting them apart from the rest of the sets in the album.

Kesha’s “High Road ” album introduces an uplifting message to its listeners. Each song is different and unique from each other, and the album shows that Kesha has come a long way since her last album release, as well as how she has grown as a person and with her music. 

“High Road” was released on Jan. 31 and is available for purchase on iTunes and Google Play and can be streamed on a variety of services including Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube Music, and Pandora.
