In order to sustain a safe and knowledgeable working environment, the Manhattan Beach  Chamber of Commerce held a virtual sexual harassment training session on Nov. 18 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Senate Bill 1343 requires businesses employing five or more people to provide sexual harassment training to all of their employees, according to the Manhattan Beach Unified School District’s (MBUSD) Virtual Sexual Harrassment agenda.

“I believe we need to do a better job defining what constitutes sexual harassment and sexual violence and making our policy clear to the community,” MBUSD Board Member Jen Cochran said. “It should be easy to access the MBUSD policy and understand how to file a complaint.”
