Mira Costa’s wrestling team headed to West Torrance High School on Feb. 5 to participate in Bay League Finals, with seniors Joey Beck (135 lbs.) and Justin Tam (152 lbs.) each taking home championships in their respective weight classes. The teams included Peninsula, West Torrance, Redondo, and Costa.
Junior Ian Goodbody (171 lbs.) and senior Tajee Mobley (140 lbs.) finished third in their weight classes and will go to CIF, while senior Weston Carico (145 lbs.) finished fourth, ending his season.
Mustangs including Beck, Goodbody, Tam and Mobley will be attending CIF individual playoffs with date and location to be determined.
