Boys and girls cross country defeated West Torrance during its last meet of the season on Saturday.

“I am so proud of our team for being dedicated to our training and determined to improve every race,” junior Lucca Franz said. “This  was a great ending to a short but sweet season.”

The top performers of this race were senior Cormac Carew and junior Ella Parsley. Carew ran 15:05.06 for his three-mile time, which was the overall best time for both teams. Parsley’s time of 17:52.2 was the best score for the women’s three mile race.

“The  depth  on  the  team  is  something that I haven’t seen in my previous years on the team,” junior Charlie Macdonald said. “I’m really pumped for the season when things return to more normal circumstances.”

This concludes the cross country season. The  Mustangs ended with a record of 4-0 (girls) and 3-1 (boys).

“I think the team had a killer season,” Macdonald said. “Everyone showed dedication and determination to perform at the highest level.”
