The movie “Voyagers” tells a sci-fi story that brings watchers along on a journey of love and fear.

The cast that gives this movie such credibility consists of Lily Rose Depp as Sela; Tye Sheridan as Christopher; Fionn Whitehead as Jack; and Colin Farrell as Richard. The movie was released on April 9 and is being shown in theatres across the country.

The movie is centered around a crew of skillfully trained cadets that embarks on an 86-year journey through space to colonize a newly discovered planet. As the mission progresses, chaos ensues and the crew is met with a series of intense emotions that start to impact their goals.

This intricate sci-fi story brings positivity to young minds, as it portrays the message that they have a voice despite always being told that they don’t. It shows that when the human race is told to reject their naturally developed instincts, they will fight back. This overall provides a heart-warming feel to the film and instills hope and confidence in its viewers.

One of the key elements to the film’s success is how viewers can find a sense of relatability within the plot. The plot is based on adults trying to shape kids into what they want by controlling their growth. Even though the film dramatizes this idea in a dystopian way, many younger viewers can make the personal connection between themselves and the characters. Although the movie is completely fictitious, its real-world commentary is what draws in the attention of the audience and keeps it captivated throughout the entirety of the film.

The movie’s greatest strength would undoubtedly be its acting. Depp causes the movie to have a compelling factor that forms a connection with its audience through a series of well-acted emotions. The tension-filled relationship between Depp and Sheridan is what makes the movie so exciting to watch. The constant fight for freedom and fear portrayed by the two lead actors gives the movie its true source of glory.

“Voyagers” also maintains great morals, showing honor and sacrifice. This movie projects a literary message about how a utopian society will always turn dystopian since there is the inherent drive of free will. “Voyagers” delivers this message through the raw emotions carried out by the actors. The plotline stays true to this message, which gives it a greater value and has a much larger impact on the audience.

The writers of “Voyagers,” including D. J. MacHale, Patrick Carman and Wendy Mass, took a direct approach to the script, making it all the more interesting and realistic to watch for the audience.

The key element that drives the film’s plot is the constant unknown of what will happen next.

The plot offers several incidences of unseen events that add a sense of mystery to the film. The viewers are constantly sucked into a new climax in the story because the surprises never end. This enthralling plot is what keeps it so interesting and engaging for watchers.

Despite all of the movie’s strengths, “Voyagers” falls short because of the excessive fictional exaggeration. The sci-fi movie is hard to follow because of its unusual and unrealistic script that becomes chaotic when the characters go off the rails. Every minute of the movie being unpredictable becomes problematic when too much commotion compromises the overall clarity of the message. Similarly, the script runs on with new surprises and events that ended up gory and too detailed to keep track of.

For the duration of the film, it was hard for viewers to remember all of the deaths and relationships that were taking place.

“Voyagers” tells a mind-boggling fiction tale that draws fear and excitement from its viewers. However, the film is nothing more than average due to its chaotic elements and a few notable qualities.

Released on April 9, “Voyagers” is rated PG-13 and can be viewed in theatres.
