Mira Costa Girls Tennis destroys Marlborough; 14-4

RETURN: Doubles team sophomore Bridget Ballantine and sophomore Skyla Kallis returning Marlboughs serve in their first match of the day, winning 6-0 against Marlborough's top team.

Mira Costa Girls Tennis beat Marlborough on Friday, September 17, with a final score of 14-4. Adding another win to their record, the girls are now 5-1. 

“The girls were really happy about the win, especially since Marlborough won CIF last year in division one,” senior Ella Lokier said. “We are going to bring our positive outlook after this game onto the next game against West.” 

Top singles player Haily Hunyh went undefeated against Marlborough’s best. She went 6-0 every match, sweeping the floor against Marlborough’s top 3 best singles players.

“Our team has definitely gotten more chemistry,” senior Haily Hunyh said. “We understand how to be a team and we have made a lot of changes in the lineup that have worked pretty well.”
