The South Bay Culture Club is a youth engagement program located at Bruce’s Beach that promotes inclusion, diversity, and friendship.
The club’s location allows the program’s leaders to educate kids on the history of Bruce’s Beach and the current issues surrounding the area. The program’s length is about five and a half hours and takes place on four Saturdays this fall.
“I didn’t realize how well this would work out when I first came up with the idea,” said Allison Hale, founder of the South Bay Culture Club. “I was questioning the idea at first but decided to go for it, and I haven’t looked back since.”
