Costa fell short to Rolling Hills Prep High School, with a score of 48-60, in the Pacshore finals on Dec. 4. It was a close game until the end of the fourth quarter where Rolling Hills Prep began to pull away.

“Our team did a good job of playing together and sharing the ball,” senior Jessie Waller said. “We had some defensive and offensive lapses, [and] we need to be able to play well the whole game.”

The next game will be against the Woodrow Wilson Bruins on Wednesday, Dec. 8. The Bruins have a record of 3-3 while Costa has a record of 9-1. Costa’s varsity basketball team had an undefeated season until this match.

“We have some big goals for this season,” Waller said. “We are competing at a high level this year and are focusing on winning bay league”
