The 50th annual Fiesta Hermosa took place from May 28 to 30 to support local
businesses selling as vendors at the Hermosa Beach Pier.
The event started in the 1970’s as an art festival hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
Visitors come to shop and enjoy the local art. The fiesta includes food, rides, and most
importantly, local art.
“The local art at the fair is amazing,” said freshmen Scarlett Ivie. “I love getting the
chance to appreciate the amazing things people in my community have created.”
Many local artists showcase their art at the fiesta. Artists brought in their work, the total
coming out to around 200 vendors; nyone could apply to be a vendor, as well as a volunteer.
“A lot of hard work goes into making the fiesta happen,” said the president and CEO of
the Chamber of Commerce, Jessica Accamando. “Seeing everyone enjoying themselves here is
such a treat!”
