Sushi Roku is a fine dining restaurant that has many food options on the menu to choose from. The restaurant is nicely designed and the customer service is excellent. With this restaurant being in the Manhattan Village it attracts many people.

Sushi Roku was first opened on Third Street in West Hollywood in 1997  then followed with a second in Santa Monica in 1999. Lee Maen is a partner in Innovative Dining Group, owner of 17 restaurants including Sushi Roku, Roku, BOA Steakhouse, Robata Barand Katana. In Manhattan Village Sushi Roku and Boa Steak are opened right next to each other due to both restaurants being owned by the same people.

According to Sushi Roku they get their fish from pristine waters around the globe with the kind of artistry that can only be provided by a mature sushi chef ensuring superlative traditional sushi. Sushi Roku is a pioneer of contemporary sushi, incorporating diverse, non-traditional ingredients from Latin America and Europe.

The food is very well made and the fish taste delicious. The fish is also fresh so when you taste it, it is very appetizing. Along with the amazing fish Sushi Roku also has a very delectable soup. There spicy Miso is a must try when there because it is very fine to the taste pallet.

The Sushi Plate from Sushi Roku comes with yellowtail, tuna, salmon, shrimp, albacore, and baked crab or a spicy tuna cut roll, this plate is a great one to try because of all the different options on the plate. The sushi is perfectly put together and placed on the plate making it nicely presented and good.

The spicy Miso soup has a great taste and when served it comes at a great temperature. There is lots of tofu in the soup adding texture. The soup serves as a great appetizer before getting your main course. The spicy Miso is a must try when going to Sushi Roku.

Although the sushi was fresh and overall really good there were some sushi rolls that did not have very much flavor. The Spicy Tuna roll had great texture and was presented very well on a plate but its flavor was subtle. The fish was very fresh and is still a great item on the menu to try.

Sushi Roku along with the food they also have dessert. Chocolate and macadamia nut cookies with ice cream is a great way to end your dinner at Sushi Roku. The cookies have lots of flavor and they melt in your mouth. The cookies come warm and you can dip it in the Vanilla ice cream to make it the perfect temperature.

The overall experience at Sushi Roku is a great one and it is a must try. It is a nice place to have formal dinners or even just stop in to get sushi. Their service is great and they make every customer feel like they should come back again. The location is great and it is very vibrant inside.
