The Mira Costa’s girls tennis team landed on top at the 5th annual Point Loma Tournament in San Diego. The tournament hosted 16 teams, at the start of the tournament, Costa was ranked as the 5th seed.
“Out of the 4 teams we played, all of them were strong. We didn’t have one “easy” match going into this tournament,” said senior Skyla Kallis. “Even with the odds against us, we didn’t let that stop us from playing our hardest and ultimately winning the tournament,” said Kallis.
The girl’s tennis team’s next match will be Tuesday October 3rd against Santa Monica High School.
The Mira Costa’s girls tennis team landed on top at their match against Geffen High School on Thursday, October 12th.
“This is our second time playing Geffen this year, it is always a good match up,” said senior Skyla Kallis. “Our team has been working hard this year, so it is exciting to get another win.”
