In the 2023 CIF State Cross Country Championships, Costa’s Owen Franck broke the school record and a Bay League record in the 5,000 meter division 1 race, with a time of 15:01.8. Franck came in at 3rd place overall.
The boy’s team came in 5th place overall with a total team score of 171. Parker Stickney came in 24th place with a time of 15:27.5. Carson Ehmann broke the sophomore school record with a time of 15:54.3.
This year, the cross country team broke school records and local records throughout their races the whole season. The underclassmen on the team also broke school records.
