The Mira Costa golf team welcomed South Torrance at home on April 21, but fell short of a victory with a final score of 196-180.
The boys hit the ball well but were without leader junior David Kim. Junior Lorenzo Gillenwater stepped up and led the way by shooting a 37. Senior JP Harper and freshman James Houston each added a score of 39.
The Mustangs hit the road on April 27, when they take on Cerritos High School at Lakewood.
