Girls golf finishes 6th in team for CIF, individuals compete on Nov.1

On Monday Oct. 29, the Mira Costa varsity girls golf team competed in the CIF teams match at Legends Golf Course, finishing 6 with 387 shots. The Mustangs did not qualify for state.

Freshmen Andrea Lee and Marni Murez shot 68 and 79 while juniors Megan Kim and Mika Pascual shot 76 and 86. Seniors Kari Gordon and Raquel Gordon shot 78 and 86 contributing to the team’s effort.

“We may not of have made it farther but we played well,” coach Tim Kelley said. “We had really high goals but all that matters is we did our best.”

The Mustangs will compete in CIF individuals on Thursday Nov. 1 at River Ridge Golf Course.
