In the championship game in the South East tournament, Costa girls basketball took first place, destroying Carson 51-20.
The game was neck and neck the entire first half, ending with a score of 18-12. In the 3rd quarter, Costa bolted ahead going on a 20-0 run. Sophomore Allie Navarette lead her team with 15 points and 5 assists.
“We knew it was the championship game and we had to bring everything we had,” Allie Navarette said. “We were able to set up our offense efficiently and we got many tips and deflections on our full court press.”
