On Dec. 29, the Mira Costa girls basketball team beat Carson Nevada High School with a final score of 35-29. Costa then played Centennial High School but lost 76-45. The Mustangs’ last game was played against Corando High School, whom they defeated 45-30.
The top scorers of the games were senior Ashley Reese with 12 points for game one and Meghan Peneueta with 10 points in games two and three.
Costa’s next game will be played on Jan. 3 away against North Torrance High School.
